BELIZEAN ARTS

Andrew was born in Belmopan, 15/05/85 and moved at the age of 1 to the village of Lucky Stike which is near the market. He started to carve at the young age of 14. He learned how to carve from his brother-in-law and mostly works together with family. He finds all his woods in the jungle. Andrew uses dead trees for his carvings and often plants trees to sustain the environment. The wood he works with most is called Zerecote wood which is mostly found in swamps on the highlands.
